Yukon Heritage Training Fund

The Yukon Heritage Training Fund (HTF) was designed to give Yukon residents the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge in the heritage sector. All training approved through this fund must be directly related to increasing the employability of Yukon’s heritage workers and providing Yukon employers with a better-trained workforce. Applications are reviewed by a committee and are assessed based on eligibility, merit, fund priorities, and an ability to meet fund criteria.

Professional and Institutional Development Program

The Professional and Institutional Development Program is a plan-based contribution program that is designed to enable First Nation communities to increase their governance capacity through locally, regionally and nationally developed initiatives. 


Lands and Economic Development Services Program

Regional Economic Development Fund

The Regional Economic Development Fund (REDF) provides funding for economic planning, opportunity identification and capacity development at the regional and community level in Yukon. Regional Economic Development advisors will help you develop your proposal, give advice on the scope of your project and identify project partners or alternative funding sources.

Community Training Trust Society

The Community Training Trust Society (CTTS) was established in conjunction with the Association of Yukon Communities. CTTS is funded by the Advanced Education Branch of Yukon Government. The mandate of the CTTS is to provide funding for training to local government bodies defined as municipal and First Nation employees and elected officials and Local Advisory Councils: Training that will be considered for funding will need to demonstrate the enhancement and creation of new skills, knowledge and competencies through training in relation to the operation, maintenance and management of the specified governments. This includes but is not limited to the following services: • Water management • Waste water and solid waste management, • Recreation facilities maintenance, • Roads, • Infrastructure • Governance and Leadership • Administration/Finance • Managerial/Supervisory
