Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Executive Office. This position provides high-level administrative and logistical support, including financial administration, records and information management, research, travel coordination, and meeting/event planning. The Executive Assistant also supervises the main reception desk and takes a lead role in coordinating the logistics of community meetings and events, ensuring they are well-organized and effectively supported.


Required Qualifications (what we screen/look for on your resume):  An equivalent combination of post-secondary education (i.e.: Diploma), combined with significant current/lived experience in the areas identified above, will equally be considered.

  • Diploma in Office or Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience providing senior-level administrative and executive support in a confidential environment.
  • Experience with reception, clerical, and general administrative functions.
  • Experience supporting meetings and events, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and providing secretariat functions.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.

  • Technical Proficiency – demonstrates strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and database systems, and adaptability to new technologies.

Knowledge of Yukon First Nations history within formalized education systems, residential schools and on-going intergenerational effects specific to education and social programming is an asset. Familiarity with Kwanlin Dün First Nation history, culture, goals and aspirations is required for success in the role.

Conditions of Employment: 

  • An acceptable pre-employment Criminal Records Check is required
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle are required
