Full-Time, permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly

$95,781.36 - $110,847.60

 The Network Administrator can work out of any of YESAB's office locations.

The Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) is an independent body established under the Umbrella Final Agreement and Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Act (YESAA) legislation in 2003. YESAB conducts environmental and socio-economic assessments of projects before they are approved by the governing body. Our purpose is to conduct neutral, timely, efficient, and effective environmental and socio-economic assessments in the Yukon.

Eligibility

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, cloud services).
  • Experience with network hardware, troubleshooting, and system configuration.
  • Understanding of core networking concepts such as VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.

The Network Administrator, reporting to the Technology & Information Manager, will be a part of YESAB’s Head office team. The Network Administrator is responsible for:

  • Providing level 1 and level 2 technical support to staff and Board members.
  • Administering and maintaining network infrastructure, servers, and communication systems.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting hardware, software, and end-user devices.
  • Managing and maintaining systems such as VPNs, LANs, security tools, backups, and cloud services.
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 environments including SharePoint, identity management, and collaboration tools.
  • Coordinating IT projects and working with external vendors and service providers, including Yukon Government ICT.
  • Supporting cybersecurity practices and help maintain system security and compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and user guides.
  • Researching and recommending technology improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Travelling to YESAB offices across Yukon for on-site support and equipment needs.
