Navigating your role as Manager/Supervisor

Description:

Sometimes, people plan to become supervisors or managers, but sometimes it can happen suddenly and unexpectedly. This course is intended for people who have recently become supervisors or who are considering an opportunity to move into a managerial position. It will introduce the basic legal responsibilities of a supervisor or manager in any Yukon workplace. More importantly, it will explore how individuals and relationships can shift when one moves into a position and is responsible for overseeing others. Participants will walk away with more knowledge of how their relationship with work and others will change – and what they can do about it – when they take on the challenge of supervising or managing others.
