Maximizing Learning Potential

Description:

Student engagement is essential for success in and beyond the classroom. AURORA Workshops works with secondary and post-secondary schools and youth groups to strengthen engagement by empowering and equipping students to take control of their learning. Maximizing Learning Potential is made up of six modules that build awareness, skills, and confidence around acquisition, understanding, retention, organization, and relationships.

This workshop is for grade 11 and 12 students, college and university students, and young adults. No minimum literacy level is required. The workshop ties into curriculum outcomes for Grade 10 Planning and Grades 10-12 Physical Education.

Outcomes include more engaged, confident, and self-aware students, greater time awareness and time management skills, improved critical thinking, and stronger executive functioning skills. We celebrate and value the diversity of learners and introduce tools and strategies to enhance learning preferences.

This program is offered in a full-day format or as two half-day workshops.
