About the Position
The Technical Lead – Admissions CRM Implementation is responsible for leading the technical aspects of the deployment and integration of a new ERP module at Yukon University. Reporting to the CIO and Director of IT Services, and working closely with the Office of the Registrar, this position will provide technical leadership, ensure seamless integration with existing systems, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a successful implementation.*Note: given the project-based nature of this role, the incumbent is expected to maintain consistent availability throughout the contract period to support key project milestones and deliverables. Remote work may be considered.
Responsibilities
• Lead the technical implementation of the ERP module, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and complying with IT standards.
• Work closely with Office of the Registrar, departmental leads, IT staff, and the vendor to design, configure, and test the module.
• Develop and oversee integration strategies, ensuring compatibility with existing enterprise applications and data infrastructure.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to internal IT staff supporting the project.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices are maintained throughout the implementation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with vendors and support teams to resolve problems.
• In partnership with vendor, co-develop technical documentation, system workflows, and user training materials.
• Support post-implementation stabilization, optimization, and documentation for future upgrades of the module.
• Communicate project updates to stakeholders and participate in decision-making discussions.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in and IT related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in enterprise software implementation, ERP systems, or related IT projects.
• Experience leading technical teams in an ERP deployment, preferably within a post-secondary or public sector environment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge and expertise with Ellucian Banner.
• Experience with API integrations, middleware, and enterprise data management.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and development within ERP frameworks.
• Familiarity with IT security best practices, identity and access management, and data governance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Project management experience and familiarity with PM methodologies are assets.
