Reporting to the Director of Housing and Infrastructure, the incumbent supports the planning, coordinating and administering of key Department finance and administration-related initiatives, including providing the Director with administrative support. The incumbent ensures that agreements and contracts comply with the TH Government’s Finance Act and Governance Act, are completed within required timelines and are supported with appropriate documentation. The incumbent ensures that the TH Government is protected from liability and penalties regarding contracts and agreements. The incumbent conducts research and analyses in support of intergovernmental negotiations to ensure that TH Government priorities and obligations with respect to housing and infrastructure are effectively met.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance, accounting, project management, records management, business administration or other relevant fields of study, combined with 2-3 years of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education lived experience, community knowledge, skills and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Sage 300 ERP and financial procedures and processes (budgets, accounts payable/receivable).
- Good working knowledge of the TH Final Agreement, the TH Self-Government Agreement, the TH Constitution, Program and Service Transfer Agreements and Financial Transfer Agreements.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel), Teams, SharePoint and Adobe Pro.
- Experience in project management within a government setting.
- Ability to interpret, comply with and prepare documentation accurately and in accordance with TH Government legislation, policy and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong ability to maintain high personal and professional standards when representing the TH Government at meetings.
- Ability to demonstrate Dënezhu values and hǫzǫ łëkʼä̀trʼënòcha (‘working well with each other’).
Assets:
- Knowledge and experience working within a First Nation government in finance or housing is an asset.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and skills in contract management and procurement is an asset.
