The Project Coordinator, Carrier coordinates implementations & orders for (primarily) Carrier channel, and where required, Sales channel.

Specific Accountabilities 

• Act as a coordinator and consultant to the (primarily) Carrier and Retails Sales channel and customer to assist them in needs assessment, design, acquisition and implementation.
• Act as the main point of contact for the entire post-sale / order initiation process including developing project plans with the customer and working through the complex work order process to implement successful installations.
• Coordinate the logistics for installation as required, which may include extensive project management activities, thus ensuring that Service Technicians, Network Maintenance or Data Technicians have installed and programmed appropriate equipment, tested and ensured they are fully functional.
• Validates scope of installation and manages solution delivery.
• Determine if expectations of functionality or hardware purchases differ from the request from the sales channel or from any of the expectations of other internal departments. If a discrepancy is found, this information is communicated with the appropriate sales / carrier staff in order to resolve the discrepancy.
• Provide support for the Carrier Services BCSRs, sales channel managers and customer for product capabilities and configuration / programming requirements.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of the products and services offered by Northwestel. This may involve instructor-led or self-training to remain current with industry trends.
• Challenge existing practices and identify areas for process improvement
• Vacation relief for Project Coordinators and Carrier Services BCSRs

Knowledge & Skills Required

• A degree or diploma in IT or Telecommunications, equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Two to three years in sales, project management or similar experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Excellent analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Experience multitasking, prioritizing and time management based shifting priorities and tight deadlines lines.
• Proven competency in project management and working in cross departmental teams to accomplish business objectives.
