Reporting to the Adult Learning and Employment Manager, the Post-Secondary Education and Training Coordinator oversees and administers the TH Government's Post-Secondary Education and Short-term Training programs. The incumbent performs a range of administrative functions, educational outreach and needed support to TH Citizens.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
- A post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate with a minimum completion of post-secondary courses in business administration, commerce, education or a related discipline, plus a minimum of two years of working experience in a related field; an equivalent combination of education, experience, skills and abilities may be considered.
- Working knowledge of student learning styles, study skills and student success techniques.
- Knowledge of education and training issues affecting First Nations people, particularly TH Citizens.
- Familiarity with Yukon-available post-secondary education and training institutions and programs.
- Experience in providing front line assistance to clients in a program and service delivery setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), with an ability to moderate videoconferencing meetings.
- Relevant experience using spreadsheets, case management systems and databases.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and restorative justice approaches.
