Kwanlin Dün First Nation, Executive Council Office is seeking Policy Analysts to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Governance, this position is responsible for developing and analyzing substantive Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) government policy initiatives, providing Council with concise and essential information on which to make informed decisions.
 

We are seeking a strategic individual with critical thinking skills and solid research abilities.  You will have a genuine interest in policy development and implementation and must like working on a variety of policy projects.  Analyzing a broad variety of policy projects and making recommendations are components of the work and strong oral and written communication skills are essential for success.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Public Administration, Political Science or related field;
  • Experience researching, assessing and developing policy options and coordinating policy processes;
  • Experience providing advice and recommendations on complex subjects, issues and policy options to senior management and leaders;
  • Experience working in a First Nation government may be considered an asset.

Knowledge of and familiarity with Kwanlin Dün First Nation history, culture, goals and aspirations is required for success in the role. 

Conditions of Employment: Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and personal transportation is an asset. Proof of both COVID-19 vaccinations. Occasional overtime, including attendance at General Assemblies is required.

 
Salary:                       $76,531 to $105,410.76 per annum ($42.05-$57.92 per hour) (Level 7) based on a 35-hour work week*

*KDFN has a generous fully employer paid benefits package that commences after 3 months, and various generous paid leaves available as well.
