The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team protects and maintains KDFN housing assets, supporting safe, clean, healthy, and reliable homes for KDFN citizens and tenants. The team is responsible for routine maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections, renovations, seasonal work, work order management, contractor coordination, equipment and supply management, and the maintenance of accurate records. All work is carried out safely, efficiently, respectfully, and in accordance with KDFN policies, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and Community Services priorities.
Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Manager, the Operations & Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the administrative systems, operational information, financial tracking, contractor and vendor documentation, asset and fleet records, safety and training records, warranties, reporting, and records management processes that support maintenance services across KDFN’s housing portfolio.
The position ensures that work orders, maintenance activities, invoices, contracts, asset information, fleet requirements, warranties, compliance records, and operational data are accurately tracked, coordinated, documented, and reported. The Coordinator serves as the central administrative and systems support resource for O&M operations and works closely with maintenance staff, the Housing Inspector & Contracts Coordinator, contractors, vendors, Finance, Capital Projects, Tenant Relations, and other Community Services staff.
This role supports informed decision-making, reliable service delivery, financial accountability, asset planning, and continuous improvement. The position is administrative and coordination-focused and remains distinct from technical inspections, field supervision, trade work, and management-level approval responsibilities.Required Qualifications (what we screen/look for on your resume): An equivalent combination of post-secondary education, combined with significant current/lived experience in the areas identified below, will equally be considered.
- Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Project Administration, Facilities Management, Asset Management, Construction Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative coordination, maintenance operations support, facilities administration, asset management support, project coordination, contractor administration, or related field.
- Experience with databases, work order software, maintenance management systems, asset management systems, document control, reporting, and records management.
- Administrative experience coordinating contractors, vendors, invoices, purchase orders, financial documentation, warranties, fleet records, or operational reporting.
- Experience working in a First Nation government or community environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of Kwanlin Dün First Nation history, culture, traditions, community values, goals, and aspirations is required for success in the position.
Knowledge and skills (what we may assess/interview on):
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, reporting tools, work order systems, and electronic records management.
- Strong records management, document control, reporting, proofreading, and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of maintenance operations, construction processes, asset management, procurement, contracts, fleet administration, and safety documentation.
- Strong organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Professional communication and customer service skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality, build positive working relationships, and work collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of Yukon First Nations history within formalized education systems, residential schools and on-going intergenerational effects specific to education and social programming is an asset. Familiarity with Kwanlin Dün First Nation history, culture, goals and aspirations is required for success in the role.
Conditions of Employment:

Salary: $61,315.80 - $102,011.00 per annum ($33.69 - $56.05 per hour) Level 5 *plus benefits
