Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) is seeking an Income Support Intake Worker to join their Education and Social Development team. Reporting to the Manager, Pathways and Social Development, the Income Support Intake Worker is responsible for working alongside KDFN citizens to determine eligibility and need for financial assistance through the Income Support Program, as well as ensure those already receiving Income Support are able to access regular, timely and accurate support payments in adherence to legislation, regulations, policies and procedure documents. Duties include: data entry, one on one support and circle of care-based meetings with KDFN Income Support participants, ensuring that documentation and verification is completed and accurate, maintaining confidential records, preparing reports, etc.

Required Qualifications (what we look/screen for on your resume): An equivalent combination of post-secondary education (i.e.: Diploma), combined with significant current in the areas identified above, will equally be considered.
- Diploma, certificate or course work related to social programs, administrative roles, or a combination of lived experience, education, and training;
- Strong demonstrated administrative skills in Microsoft Office, data entry, and digital databases;
- A working knowledge of financial databases is considered as an asset;
- Relevant experience in social services, case management, or a related field, preferably with Indigenous communities working within a circle of care model (working collaboratively within a team of other supports for a citizen to ensure a holistic approach);
- Knowledge of Federal, Territorial and local government agencies legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines that deal with Social Programs (or ability to learn).

- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationship with KDFN citizens and external stakeholders demonstrating empathy, patience, respect as well as be able to use conflict resolution skills and restorative practices to repair conflict;
- Ability to problem-solve complex situations;
- Ability to assess client needs and connect them to appropriate resources and supports;
- Ability to read and understand legislated policy and procedures;
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organization;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Knowledge of Kwanlin Dün First Nation governance structure, our community, heritage and culture, social structure, language and traditions, goals, and aspirations are essential for success in this position

Salary: $61,315.80 to $99,717.80 per annum ($33.69 - $54.79/hr) Level 5 *plus benefits
