Reporting to the Implementation Manager, the incumbent conducts research and drafts briefings, reports and other correspondence related to policy and regulation development in support of land integrity within TH’s Traditional Territory. The incumbent provides technical advice and recommendations, and may support and/or represent the TH Government in various contexts related to the ongoing implementation of the TH Final Agreement and Self-Government Agreements.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Indigenous studies, land and resource management, environmental management, political science, Indigenous or environmental law, public administration or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education, knowledge, skills and experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of TH Final Agreement, TH Self-Government Agreements, Final Agreement Implementation Plan, Self-Government Implementation Plan, TH Constitution, Program and Service Transfer Agreements, and Financial Transfer Agreements and Taxation Agreements.
- Knowledge and experience working within a First Nation government is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and synthesize complex documents.
- Experience with drafting research summaries and briefing notes.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Citizens, TH Government employees and the public.
- Strong work ethic, with strong ethical standards, sound judgment and informed decision-making skills.
