Job Summary: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Outreach Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the YAWC MMIWG Outreach Program for family members in the Yukon and northern BC communities. This position engages clientele in outreach prevention, healing and public awareness initiatives with on the land camps.

Screening Criteria: Post-secondary education coursework in Health or Justice with case management and grief/trauma counselling, and/or related experience.

Must have experience working with First Nations and Gender Diverse people with some knowledge of the history of Missing and Murdered Women in the Yukon with an understanding of Yukon First Nations culture and values.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000.00 depending on qualifications and experience.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Vulnerable Sector check and a criminal records check.
  • Valid Yukon class 5 driver’s license; personal vehicle is an asset.
  • Willingness to work the occasional irregular hours which may include weekends and evenings.
