Are you comfortable with numbers and real-world math? Do you enjoy helping others understanding counting, measurement, money, or graphs? YFNED is seeking Match Advocates to join our Numeracy Team! As a Math Advocate, you will support Indigenous learners (primarily in elementary school) through one-on-one support and group learning sessions.
Math advocates make math practical, culturally relevant, and fun. Activities may be land-based or classroom-based, connecting math concepts to every day life and future employment (e.g. measurements for baking, angles in building, financial literacy, and math in land-based skills such as hunting and fishing).
This position is open to people in all Yukon communities.
