Northwestel is hiring a creative Marketing Manager - Designer to join the team! As a Marketing Manager - Designer, you will create visual elements to tell northern stories and connect our customers to innovative communications solutions. This position requires a creative person that is detail-oriented, a fast learner and can manage priorities and deadlines for multiple projects at once. 

The Marketing Team develops strategy and manages the implementation of marketing campaigns to deliver against subscriber targets for Home Phone, Internet, Television, and business portfolios.  The Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing, and will work cross-functionally with partners throughout the organization including: Product Management, Marketing Communications, Sales/Support Channels, Customer Intelligence as well as Legal and Field teams. The Marketing Manager will be passionate about learning, delivering against results and will possess strong interpersonal, analytical, strategic thinking and tactical skills.

The Marketing Manager will lead the development, implementation and analysis of end-of-end marketing campaigns that target prospective customers or current customers for Northwestel products and services. Includes campaigns across all channels and tactics including direct mail, outbound telemarketing, online marketing, retail, door to door, plus various grassroots activities leveraging the entire product/services portfolio. 

This position requires design experience from the ground up. You must have experience working in Adobe Creative Suite.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Understand scope and nature of all marketing and communications requirements
  • Work with the Account Management team to understand strategic objectives and create effective communications products and campaigns to achieve them.
  • Contribute to communications projects and campaigns such as brand, customer loyalty program, retention/save/win back communications strategy, retail merchandising, social media, employee engagement, as well as tradeshows and sponsorship.
  • Work with the digital team, and external agencies to launch rich cross-platform communications efforts. Work with agency to develop communications plans based on briefs.
  • Execute on communications tactics including but not limited to print, news media, retail, social media and web content.
  • Provide design assets for multiple platforms.
  • Continue to build relationships with other Northwestel teams – act as mentor/ambassador for Consumer markets to ensure consistency in all customer-facing materials.
  • Other activities as necessary to support marketing & communications.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • 2-5 years’ experience contributing to a creative marketing or communications team.
  • Experience working with digital teams, external advertising or creative agencies etc.
  • Strong design skills, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign).
  • Proven experience in developing and executing communications plans.
  • Strong campaign and project management skills.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and design focused.
