Labourer (Competition #2026-005)

Permanent, Full-time in Burwash Landing, Yukon 
Salary: LT-5, $61,005.97 to $84,995.10 per annum based on 70 hours bi-weekly (depending on qualifications and experience)

Overview
KFN is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Labourer (LT-5). This position is responsible for a wide variety of labour and service duties in support of the PWMS and the Housing Department and performs other duties. 

Education and Experience
Grade 12 or equivalent. Experience as a labourer. Those with experience operating equipment, performing mechanical repair, boiler repair and/or truck driving will be given preference. 

Conditions of Employment

  • Valid Yukon Class 5 driver's license or a willingness to obtain within three (3) months of employment (Note: it is each employee’s responsibility to obtain liability insurance (business) on his or her car insurance)
  • Class 3 driver’s license and/or Equipment Operator’s license and up-to-date driver’s abstract
  • Valid WHMIS certification or the ability to obtain within three (3) months
  • Boiler maintenance would be an asset
  • Appropriate documentation for sewer and water delivery would be an asset.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and travel
