Salary:  Level 9 Step 1 ($108,595.50 annually)

Reporting to the Director of Tr’ëhudè & Dǟʼòleʼ, the Jëje Zho Manager manages the overall operation of Jëje Zho (Transitional House and Emergency Shelter). The incumbent coordinates and supports the delivery of needed programs and supports at Jëje Zho, and represents the TH Government on initiatives and advocacy relating to men experiencing homelessness. 

An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:  

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in social work, psychology, humanities or related health services field, plus two years of experience in providing clinical supervision or delivering programs and services to vulnerable populations. An equivalent combination of experience, knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
  • Experience in providing trauma-informed care to vulnerable/at-risk individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability, mental health and addiction challenges, and other complex care needs.
  • Experience in developing and administering funding proposals and agreements.
  • Working knowledge of low barrier and harm reduction principles and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform operational and client risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, supervising, coaching and managing staff performance and professional development.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office/365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and video-conferencing technologies.
  • Knowledge of restorative justice principles and approaches.

Assets:  

  • Financial management and administration experience.
  • Knowledge of the TH culture, traditions, history, demographics and family structures.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Class 5 Driver’s License and clear driver’s abstract, and willingness to acquire a Class 4 driver’s license.
