Yukon College is seeking an Instructor/Coordinator to join the Dawson City Campus. Reporting to the Chair, School of Community Education & Development, this position is responsible for delivering Adult Basic Education programs, including Math, English, GED preparation, and Employment Readiness. The successful candidate will also work closely with campus staff, community organizations, and First Nation partners to identify, develop, and coordinate education and training opportunities that meet local needs.

The Instructor/Coordinator will plan and deliver engaging lessons in both classroom and distance learning environments, develop and update curriculum, advise and assess students, maintain student records, coordinate course schedules, and support the recruitment and supervision of casual instructors. This role requires strong collaboration with colleagues, community partners, and students to ensure high-quality programming and student success.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in a related field (Master's preferred)
• Teaching experience, preferably in adult education
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum development, and distance learning
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Experience working with diverse communities and First Nation organizations
• Knowledge of northern and multicultural issues
• Knowledge of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in traditions, culture and values
• Teaching certification or willingness to obtain one is considered an asset
