The Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care (IELCC) Liaison Worker nurtures strong & collaborative relationships with early learning and childcare centres, helping to strengthen First Nation knowledge in the quality programming delivered for children from birth to nine years of age.

Working closely with the IELCC Project Lead, this position plays a vital role in promoting Yukon First Nation knowledge through culturally aligned early childhood development, supporting and educating practitioners to integrate these practices into their work.


Position requirements include:

• Certificate in early childhood education (ECE), Indigenous early learning, social services with a focus on health or education of children, or similar.
• Coursework in traditional parenting, nurturing children through Indigenous ways or similar is an asset.
• The ability to work with, coach and lead adults in a professional setting.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License & acceptable driver’s abstract
• Pre-employment acceptable RCMP Security Clearance and vulnerable sector search
