YESAB conducts environmental and socio-economic assessments of projects before they are approved by the governing body. Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Working towards or holding an accounting designation (CPA/CMA) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and reconciliations.
- Good working knowledge of computerized accounting systems, Knowledge of QuickBooks is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Reporting to Finance & Administration Manager, The Financial Analyst supports YESAB’s financial management processes, working collaboratively with staff and senior management. This role includes budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The Financial Analyst is also responsible for:
- Collaborating with budget managers to gather and analyze financial data to support annual budget preparation.
- Assisting in preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to support decision-making.
- Performing variance analyses and providing detailed explanations of discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance.
- Preparing and processing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitoring cash flow trends and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing explanations.
