Description:

The Yukon First Nation Education Directorate (YNFED) Early Years team is looking for an Early Years Visitor to support Indigenous families living on the traditional territory of the Carcross Tagish First Nation (CTFN). This role focuses on delivering culturally inclusive programming that promotes healthy pregnancies, early learning opportunities, and family well-being.

We are looking for a self-motivated, community-oriented individual who is passionate about early childhood development and eager to contribute to improved health, well-being and learning outcomes for children. The successful candidate will work closely with CTFN in the implementation and delivery of the program.

The YFNED is partnered with the Martin Family Initiative (MFI); a charity that works alongside First Nations, Inuit and Métis People in Canada to help foster Indigenous children and youth’s education and wellbeing. The MFI Early Years is an innovative evidence-informed program model that seeks to honour parents as their children’s first teachers, support healthy pregnancies and infancy and successful service navigation.
