Capital Program Manager – Whitehorse Yukon
Established in 1987, Yukon Energy (YEC) is a publicly owned electrical utility that operates as a
business, at arm’s length from the Yukon Government. It is the main generator and transmitter
of electrical energy in the territory. Our plant facilities are on the Traditional Territory of Yukon
First Nations. There are 14 First Nation in the territory and we work within these Traditional
Territories in all of our business operations.
The opportunity exists for a seasoned project manager professional to join Yukon Energy as the
Capital Program Manager. Reporting and working closely with a progressive and forwardthinking Senior Management Team, the Capital Program Manager will be responsible for
overseeing the work of all project management personnel in full cycle project management:
project planning, initiation, resourcing and execution to monitoring, control and completion.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering; Health Safety/ Environmental
certification; Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation, program Management
Professional designation an asset (PgMP); 10+ years of working experience as a Project Manager
on power related projects; strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple goals and
demonstrate credibility as a senior-level project leader.
