Northwestel is looking for an Account Manager to grow the sales team! The Account Manager - General Business Market (GBM), reporting to the Associate Director Sales, is responsible for growing and maintaining revenues for the general business market for a specific region within the sales territory. This is accomplished by overseeing the clients' needs in the areas of telecommunications equipment sales and services, maintenance of the client relationship and general day-to-day service.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop the general business market in order to grow and maintain revenues through providing telecommunications sales and a high level of day-to-day customer service.
  • Development telecommunications solutions for customers by linking their business drivers and goals to new information technology opportunities by developing proposals for them.
  • Develop and maintain GBM Account Plans based on regional marketplace assignment. Implement and manage any marketing initiatives relative to the GBM accounts.
  • Provide direction to customer service interfaces, for example Sales Assistants and Business Care Centre. The position may also require coordination of projects with the Project Manager-Sales.
  • Qualify accounts for consideration as High Value Customer and Account Executive treatment.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • This position requires a business degree with a major in marketing/sales or technology (or an equivalent combination of experience and/or credentials)
  • One year of Business Telecommunications sales and strong customer service skills.
  • Strong sales, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), presentation and analytical skills.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work is required of this position. The position may also be required to travel four times per year for up to one week at a time, or up to one week per month dependent on location of position.
  • As part of the recruitment process for this position, candidates may be required to take pre-employment tests and/or complete work simulation exercise to assess job fit.
