This introductory course is for members of boards, tribunals and committees with a quasi-judicial function. The course was developed by the B.C. Council of Administrative Tribunals, and is designed to provide participants with a better understanding of their role and responsibilities as tribunal members.
This course consists of four sessions:- Administrative Law and the Principles of Natural Justice
- Conducting Fair Hearings and Evaluating Evidence
- Decision-Making and Decision-Writing
- Ethical and Professional Responsibilities for Decision-Makers
