Job Summary

The incumbent provides professional and administrative support in the coordination and delivery of recreation membership services in order to maintain customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, training and support in recreational software system, including point of sale, memberships, facility bookings and program registration
  • Provide, orientation, training, coordination and scheduling for Customer Service Representatives, support workers, volunteers and staff, as required.
  • Oversee the coordination, promotion and sales of recreation services, registered programs, community events, equipment and facility rentals.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including responding to inquiries, distributing information and providing customer service activities.
  • Review, investigate and respond to public complaints, incident reports and general facility safety and security concerns.
  • Facilitate member's only events and activities, including providing support to larger group memberships.
  • Perform administrative duties, including compiling statistics, analyzing data, reviewing marketing materials, maintaining accurate records, preparing and presenting reports.     
  • Act as Supervisor, Customer Service as assigned.

Follow, so far as is reasonably practicable, established safety procedures and standards.

Position Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Diploma in Recreation Administration, Leisure Studies, Business Administration, Facility Management or equivalent
  • 3 years' progressive experience and 6 months on the job training 
  • Standard First Aid and CPR level C
  • WHMIS
  • RCMP Vulnerable Sector check 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, project management, organizational and client service skills 
  • Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders 
  • Good organizational skills, prioritizing and ability to multitask with minimal supervision 
  • Class 5 Drivers' License.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Examples of Equipment to Operate:

General office equipment with the ability to operate ERP software programs, spreadsheets, electronic mail, word processing, PowerPoint etc.
