Are you interested in helping to reduce isolation and promote inclusion for people living with various neurodevelopmental disorders within our community? FASSY is seeking a Coordinator to facilitate our Out and About – Mental Wellness Program for Adults with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.


Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will schedule and manage our monthly calendar of events. This position requires a kind and compassionate individual who can plan and executive evening and weekend programming for people with various neurodevelopmental disorders. Duties include coordinating support staff, booking activities that fit within the annual budget, and building a monthly calendar of events to share with our community partners.

 
This term employment opportunity offers up to 30 hours per week, mostly on weekends and after hours, and is guaranteed until March 31st, 2025. This may be extended depending on funding.

 
The pay rate is $32 per hour, paid biweekly, with mileage for transporting clients in your personal vehicle reimbursed weekly. 
The ideal candidate will:

·         Have knowledge, training, and or experience working with individuals who have neurodevelopmental disabilities

·         Have a strong knowledge of the Yukon and Whitehorse community

·         Demonstrate cultural competency and be willing to engage in ongoing training

·         Have strong communication skills both written and oral

·         Be able to manage staff and support scheduling requirements.

·         Have a strong understanding of and demonstrate boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality in their work

·         Have financial literacy and money management

·         Be able to provide statical reporting as required by our funding agreement

·         Have an understanding of homelessness and issues that surround high-risk and vulnerable persons' access to services and support.

Required:

·         Police Record Check including Vulnerable Sector check

·         Valid Yukon Class 5 Drivers License and a clean driver’s abstract

·         A reliable and insurable vehicle
·         Standard First Aid and CRP
