Join Our Team as Executive Director

Are you passionate about supporting the training and development of Yukon First Nation People? Do you have the leadership and strategic skills to drive impactful change within our organization? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Executive Director for the Training Policy Committee (TPC). As the Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the TPC and ensuring the successful implementation of our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and management to the TPC, staff, and contractors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Yukon First Nations and other partners to effectively communicate the purpose and benefits of the TPC's policies and programs.
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for the TPC in alignment with the Umbrella Final Agreement and Implementation Plan.
  • Manage the Yukon Indian People Training Trust, including establishing policies and procedures for fund disbursement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify joint initiatives and training priorities.
  • Supervise office staff and ensure the smooth functioning of daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Experience in policy and program development
  • Knowledge of government systems and practices
  • Budget management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity

Conditions of Employment:

  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid Class 5 Yukon Driver’s license
  • Preference will be given to persons of Yukon First Nations ancestry

Salary Range:  CYFN Wage Scale:  9/Director ($80,689- $100,093)
