Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an evidence-based training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Based on the ground-breaking research of Dr. Kristin Neff (Ph.D.) and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, Ph.D, MSC teaches core principles and practices for responding to difficult moments with kindness, care and understanding.

Developed by the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, this introductory-level course offers a “taste” of MSC for those interested in building and enhancing skills to:

  • Offer compassion to self and others

  • Approach difficult emotions with more clarity and ease

  • Discover and reconnect with values that are important to you

  • Motivate yourself with compassion

  • Cope with burn-out

This 9-hour course, livestreamed via Zoom, is delivered in 6 sessions, at 1.5 hrs per session. Sessions include talks, practices, and sharing; additional between-session support is available as needed.
